Newly announced taqueria Apapacho, led by culinary duo Alam Méndez and Elisa Reyna, will showcase a lineup of tacos featuring slow-cooked meats like al pastor, carne asada, and barbacoa, along with a vegetarian option of oyster mushrooms. The married team, known for their work at DC’s Maiz 64, has earned acclaim for Méndez’s expertly crafted tortillas made from native Mexican corn and Reyna’s exceptional pastry creations.

DC SUMMER RESTAURANT WEEK!

Indulge in the vibrant flavors of Mexico City at El Presidente or treat yourself to a stylish French meal at Pastis during DC’s Summer Restaurant Week! From Monday, August 12 to Sunday, August 18, enjoy a 3-course prix fixe menu at your favorite STARR Restaurants in Union Market District.

watch HOOK at The Drive-In at Union Market! Enjoy the perfect blend of movies and munchies with incredible concessions, from street food to Michelin-starred fine dining. Bring your chairs and blankets for a cozy, picnic-style setup in front of The Market. No tickets are needed to watch on Neal Place. See you there!
