Get ready for an adrenaline-fueled weekend at Union Market District! In partnership with Events DC, we’re bringing a unique go-kart racing experience, powered by K1 Speed, the world’s premier go-kart racing operator. Each 15-minute race will accommodate six drivers, perfect for creating fun memories with family and friends. Join us for the races and stay for live music, awesome entertainment, and a variety of delicious eats from Union Market District’s favorite restaurants and bars.

Did you know go-karting, a sport adored globally today, first came into existence in the 1950s? Art Ingels invented the first go-kart in Southern California during the summer of 1956. The go-kart was inspired by the racing cars he helped construct at Kurtis Kraft. The chassis was crafted from steel tubing and was lightweight yet strong enough to support adult passengers. The chassis was also designed to be low to the ground and featured a wide track to improve stability. Ingels’ friend Lou Borelli then mounted a surplus two-cycle West Bend 2.5hp lawnmower engine manufactured by McCulloch on the chassis. Thus, the world’s first go-kart was born.

This is a friendly reminder to all Ledger Residents that we offer Parcel Pending Lockers for your packages located on the Mezzanine Level. Parcel Lockers offer an extra layer of security & convenience by keeping your packages in a locked location until they are picked up.
